Towing and Trailer Sway Control
Building on AdvaceTrac® with Roll Stability Control,™ standard trailer sway control selectively brakes and adjusts engine power to maintain trailer control. The result is stability and control, even when towing large roads. When equipped with the class III trailer tow package and the 3.0L V6 engine, the Explorer can tow a maximum of 5,600lbs.* The Class III Trailer Tow Package is available with the 2.3L EcoBoost® and 3.3L hybrid engines and comes standard with the 3.0L EcoBoost engine.
